Another look at the softball season. I would say we did okay, taking the division title AND the playoff championship on our 2nd season in the league. The playoff competition was much closer than we expected. We had to win them all after losing our first match. Here is what the statistician wrote:

"This year the VASL added a "C" Division, and it looks to have been a good decision - a great way for new and inexperienced teams to get some softball under their belts while not getting whacked every week 23-1.It was great to see teams like the Packers, Pacific Blue Sox, Let' Er Rip, and the Straight Ligers improve dramatically in their second season in the league. Last year these teams had between zero and four wins each; this year they had between seven and 13 wins, and hopefully, a lot more fun.That made for a wild and unpredictable playoff series.This year's Cinderella team, the Metasluggers shook off the one win season VASL debut and gelled for the playoffs, working their way to the finals from the undefeated bracket.The first place Blue Sox meanwhile, had to do it the hard way. After losing to the Metasluggers early on, they had to play four games on Sunday to win the championship. And they did just that - beating the Metasluggers 23-5 in the first game of the finals to force a second game.?The second game was a close affair, as the Metasluggers showed it was no fluke they had come that far, but they finally fell to the Blue Sox in a 12-9 decision. All in all, a great way to end the year."

I probably won't play next year, gotta study for grad school entrance test.
