The cherry blossom announces the coming of spring. We've been through cold nights, freezing rain and the dreaded white powder that immobilizes all that it covers. Yet, life renews in the warmth of the sun. Old man winter has just coughed out the last of his nastiness and spring is booting him out the door.
I thought that it was not too long ago that I was gazing out the window at the very same trees. I gasp when I realize it has been over a year now. Sometimes time slips through like the falling petals, weaving through the air ever so gently and elegantly. And sometimes time blows by like a raging tornado, knocking trees down from above. When I come about, I am lost in a trance of confusion, pondering the where, what, why and hows.
